FROM A NEW META APP TO A WORKING INBOX
A guided path to connection
The website owner sets up the platform app. Professional-account users can then connect through Instagram Login.
Create the Meta app
Create an app in Meta for Developers with Instagram API and Instagram Login. Use the Instagram App ID and Instagram App Secret from its Instagram setup.

Register the exact OAuth callback below, plus the privacy and data-deletion URLs. Public endpoints must use HTTPS.
Subscribe to message webhooks
Set the webhook URL and verify token in Meta, then subscribe to messages. Use the parent Meta app secret for signatures if it differs from the Instagram secret.
Test and obtain production access
Use a professional test account and grant the required tester access. For public users beyond app roles, complete Meta’s current access and messaging-permission review requirements.

Schedule the existing cron/run.php runner with the instagram_studio task every minute. The hosting owner configures the schedule; readiness shows the last run.
